The town of Shabla is an old Thracian village. The cape of Shabla is the most east point of Bulgarian

seaside. A spectacular lighthouse is built there - an original and venerable building (1856). To the south of Shabla just on

the steep seashore the interesting place Peshterata is � a system of connected caves, projected over the high rocky shore

towards the sea. They are within easy reach.The Durankulak lake is located in this region too. It is portioned by a sandy

bank and connected with the sea through a channel.A camping Karvouna is built there. Just near the seashore the Shabla lake

is located. It is semi salted, 9,5 m deep. The nearest international airport is 75 km. away (Varna Airport).
